The Evil World Says Me…..God Say’s We…..

Being a true Christian means that we are ready to deny ourselves, it means we are to be selfless, not selfish seeking what is only best for me, not judging everyone around us and finding all their faults instead of looking at ourselves and seeing our own faults. We are imperfect people living in an imperfect world and we all have faults, all of us are hopeless sinners unworthy of God’s kingdom and it is only by His grace and love that we are saved. There is no ME in WE. Jesus did not once think about himself when he was nailed to the cross for us, he denied himself entirely and gave up his life so the WE could be saved.

I love the quote below. It may sound extremely old fashioned, but the woman is the one who truly sets the tone of goodness in her home. If she is selfish, her home will be selfish. If she only seeks what is only best for her with no regard for how it affects the other people in her home, her husband and her children, that is not a Spirit of God, it is not holy, it is ungodly and evil and will create a path of destruction for herself. Ultimately we have to make a conscious choice as to what we are going to follow, death or life, goodness or evil. God has given us free will, so the choice is always ours. But as you read in the quote below, that spirit of selfishness has been destroying homes since the beginning of time. So the question we should always be asking ourselves is what spirit are we going to follow? The Holy Spirit or satan’s evil spirit of selfishness and destruction? Are we willing to deny ourSELVES and do the right thing for the whole, or be SELFish and do whats only best for ME?

Proverbs 14:1
The wise woman builds her house,
But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.

Homemaking By JR Miller
“Love is always ready to deny itself, to give, sacrifice, just in the measure of its sincerity and intensity. Perfect love is perfect self-forgetfulness. Hence where there is love in a home, unselfishness is the law. Each forgets self and lives for others.

But where there is selfishness it mars joy. One selfish soul will destroy the sweetness of life in any home. It is like an ugly bush in the midst of a garden of flowers. It was selfishness that destroyed the first home and blighted all the loveliness of Paradise; and it has been blighting lovely things in earth’s home ever since. We need to guard against this spirit.”
